Coppertone Sport Sunscreen

We recommend Coppertone Sport sunscreen lotion primarily because it goes on as a lotion but
without leaving a slippery residue.  In fact, it has an oil-free formula that leaves your hands with a "no
slip grip", which is actually better for us golfers. And we all need any help we can get while playing
golf! It's waterproof and sweatproof for those hot days on the course or where ever you may be
enjoying "The Back 9 of Life".

Here is the Coppertone product web site for you to read for yourself:

SkyCaddie SG3

One of the Back 9 partners recently purchased the SkyCaddie SG3 Rangefinder.  I have
been dubbed the 'gadget guy' of our group, and did a lot of research on these types of
devices before the purchased one.
I was first thinking about buying a regular
rangefinder that you just point and shoot at a target, but after borrowing one from a
friend
I found it a little difficult to use.  You first have to find a target, then hold the
rangefinder on it to get the reading.
I found himself wavering all over the place and it
actually took some time just to get one reading.  I don't know what it was, the unsteady
hands of age, or too many beers on the course, but it was just difficult to get a good
consistent reading.

I then decided to look into the GPS rangefinders that display yardages on the screen.
There are a number of these devices on the market, but
I decided to focus on the market
leader,
SkyCaddie.  They now have 5 models, so you have to decide how much you want
to spend and what kind of information that you want.  The SG1 and SG2 models show
limited information and the only difference
between the two is that one is powered by
batteries
and one is rechargeable.  The SG3 and SG4 display more information (same
battery differences)
, but cost a little more.  The newest model is the SG5 which has a
color screen, and is really nice, but so is the price at $449.  The SG3 was chosen because
it uses batteries.  A friend has the SG4 (rechargeable), and he said it lasts about 2 rounds
between charging.  It costs $50 more than the SG3, and that buys a lot of batteries.  It
would be my luck that I would not have it charged the day I wanted to use it, and I would
be out of luck.  I just carry extra batteries (it uses AA)
in my golf bag and I am good to go.

I really like the IntelliGreen feature that shows the green after you reach a pre-
determined yardage.  You can then move the flagstick to the exact pin location of the day
to get the exact yardage.  You can also measure your distance by using the MARK
feature.  You can use this anywhere on the hole, from the tee box to the middle of the
fairway.  It is a nice feature to get an idea of how far your shots are going with each club.

One downside to using this type of device is that you have to pay an annual fee to get
access to all the courses they have mapped.  You pay $29 for one state and $49 for the
entire US.  They have over 10,000 courses mapped, so odds are you will find the course
you want.  One other problem is that the memory will only hold 10 downloaded courses at
a time, so you have to know where you are going to play ahead of time.
